Akiba Antiques Upcoming Sale Presents Important Collectibles, Including Warren Telechron Clock
The November Capsule auction, presented by Akiba Antiques, will feature over 500 lots of antique furniture, fine art, and collectibles. One of the highlighted items in the event is a large antique Warren Telechron train station clock. This early 20th-century train station clock is crafted from cast bronze and includes clock faces with original Type B-2 electric movements on all four sides. The Warren Telechron Company of Ashland manufactured these clock movements. Its founder, Henry Ellis Warren, created his first electric clock in 1830 as an experiment.
An ex-Sotheby’s Louis Majorelle Art Nouveau vanity desk will also appear in this sale alongside other pieces of antique furniture. The wooden vanity desk comes with an attached mirror, two pull-out drawers, and an original matching chair with a floral embroidered seat. A pair of Sèvres French bronze mounted porcelain urns is available as well. To view the full catalog or to place a bid, visit LiveAuctioneers.
